Mini Print: Born Kitagawa Utamaro in 1806, the Japanese printmaker is famed for his woodblock prints of women (known as bijinga). During his career Utamaro produced an impressive two thousand prints along with a number of paintings and many illustrated books. This stunning print titled 'The Lovers' features a couple sharing an intimate embrace; the artwork is typical of the Ukiyo-e prints created by the famous artist.
